The Project Associate is phase 1 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country.
The Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office. The core responsibility as a Project Associate is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ Understand Miller Electric’s service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
+ Begin building long term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and high-quality work ethic.
+ Support the generation of estimates and proposals to support your team in winning new work, establishing procedures, and scheduling timelines.
+ Develop a strong electrical/material vocabulary and understanding of job site etiquette.
+ Work with your team to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
+ Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordination with your subcontractors and other trades.
+ Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision.
+ Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
Qualifications
_REQUIRED_
+ Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
+ Strong computer & Google Suite skills
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills
+ Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
+ Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

+ Project management experience
+ Experience working in the construction industry
+ Familiar with computer-based estimating
+ Understanding of billing and collections
