    Packaging Mechanic

     

    Step into a key role where precision meets performance. As a Packaging Mechanic, you’ll set up, operate, and maintain advanced sterile filling and packaging equipment to keep production moving seamlessly and products meeting the highest quality standards.

     

    **Type:** Direct Hire

    **Shift:** Sunday - Thursday, 12am - 7am

    **Location:** Ocean County, NJ

    **Rate:** Up to $85,800

    Key Responsibilities

    + Perform line changeovers, setups, and startups, including vision system calibration and data collection.

    + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on packaging and production equipment.

    + Diagnose and repair PLCs, VFDs, servos, sensors, motors, and temperature control loops.

    + Maintain and troubleshoot automated inspection, weight checking, and control systems.

    + Identify and request parts for maintenance and repairs.

    + Support process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

    + Accurately document maintenance and changeover activities per GMP standards.

    + Work collaboratively with team members and demonstrate flexibility with shifts and overtime.

    + Follow all gowning and cleanroom procedures and comply with 21 CFR Part 11 and cGMP requirements.

    Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + 3+ years of relevant mechanical or maintenance experience; experience in aseptic or pharmaceutical packaging preferred.
