Field Inspector – Industrial / Construction / QAQC
We are hiring a skilled Field Inspector to perform inspections and quality assurance for industrial, structural, and mechanical systems. This position supports asset integrity and reliability projects in steel, chemical, power generation, manufacturing, and construction environments.
Ideal candidates have a background in industrial inspection, welding, fabrication, or construction QA/QC and enjoy hands-on field work in dynamic job sites.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct field inspections on structural, mechanical, and welded components in heavy industrial facilities.
+ Identify and document defects, corrosion, or nonconformances, recommending corrective actions.
+ Prepare detailed inspection and QA/QC reports using digital inspection tools.
+ Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
+ Interface directly with client engineers, project managers, and construction personnel.
+ Follow company safety standards and project management procedures.
+ Travel to client sites (primarily local with occasional out-of-state assignments).
Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma or GED required; Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
+ Experience: 2–10 years of inspection, welding, fabrication, or construction QA/QC experience.
+ Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
+ Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, tablets, and inspection software).
+ Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to pass drug and fit-for-duty screenings.
Preferred Certifications
+ Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level I/II
+ Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
+ API 510 / 570 / 653 Inspector
+ AMPP / NACE Coating Inspector
+ OSHA 10 or 30-hour, MSHA Part 46 or 48
+ FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License
+ TWIC Card
