The Harm Reduction Program Assistant is responsible for providing direct care and assisting with daily operations of Harm Reduction Center (HRC) programs. The Harm Reduction Program Assistant provides a warm and welcoming environment, greets participants, completes data entry, tracking and reporting, and provides organizational support to staff within the SSP and Hub programs.
As part of the essential functions of the job, the Harm Reduction Program Assistant:
+ Provides data entry for Harm Reduction programs (Syringe Services, Drug User Health Hub, and Drop-In) to facilitate accurate tracking and timely reporting of program data
+ Assists and supports other CBH programs (Mental Health, Substance Use) with administrative duties as needed
+ Responds to phone calls and other inquiries into the Harm Reduction Center
+ Assists at SSP and Drop-In by providing basic services and referrals to patients
+ Develops and implements improvements in general office systems and procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the office
+ Manages inventory, ordering, and organization of office and program supplies
+ Coordinates calendars to schedule and arrange internal and external meetings, including booking conference rooms and equipment if necessary
+ Works in collaboration with Director of Harm Reduction to create and maintain HRC staff schedules
+ Coordinates schedule of case conferences, transcribes meeting minutes, and disseminates meeting content to HRC team
Qualified candidate will have an Associate degree and/or two (2) years of qualifying experience working healthcare with persons with a chronic illness, and/or persons with a history of mental illness, homelessness, or substance use; candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally; candidate must be familiar with computers, database maintenance and MS Office software; candidate must display professionalism and support to all patients; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential

Required education/experience: Associate degree and/or two (2) years verifiable experience working healthcare with persons with a chronic illness, and/or persons with a history of mental illness, homelessness, or substance use
