The*Physical Education/ Health Teacher*focuses on physical education (PE) and health education using a variety of hands-on learning methods focused on the learning styles of the populations we serve. The PE/Health Teacher will deliver PE/Health education through classroom facilitation using a combination of verbal, written and practical exercises to engage students. The PE/Health Teacher will have access to a gymnasium, outdoor track and field, as well as a classroom. Pine Hills School is located inside the secure facility at Pine Hills Youth Correctional Facility. School is provided to youth offenders 12 months of the year. The position serves as a positive role model to the youth population, encouraging positive behavior and academic achievements. *QUALIFICATIONS* The knowledge, skills and abilities for this position are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to: * Bachelor’s degree in education * Must be a State of Montana certified secondary teacher with a PE/Health endorsement * Two years of job-related experience preferred * Experience in a correctional environment is highly desired // Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. *BENEFITS* Your service is rewarded with competitive compensation and generous* *State of Montana Benefits.
