Visit the Health Care and Benefits Division for more information athttps://benefits.mt.gov/.In addition to employee benefits, there are a wide range of advancement opportunities throughout the Department of Revenue. *_DUTIES_* ** *Job Overview:* ** This position resides in theCollection Services BureauofDepartment of Revenue.Duties include directing and coordinating tax collection activities to satisfy liabilities owed to the state by contacting taxpayers regarding delinquencies and applicable policies,statutes, and to establish payment plans; providing document review, process control, and related support services; and providing exceptional customer service. The position reports to a unit manager and does not supervise other staff. ** *Key responsibilities include:* * Contacting Montana citizens via phone, mail, email, or other methods as necessary. * Taking payments over the phone. * Working with citizens to negotiate reasonable payment plans within department guidelines. * Conducting extensive research to locate contact information such as phone numbers and addresses. * Researching and determining individuals liable for trust tax balances. * Maintaining confidential citizen records in our integrated tax system. ** /Knowledge of:/ · Tax collection methods and procedures · Database operations · Basic accounting and financial records analysis · Records maintenance procedures · Standard office procedures // /Skills in:/ · Negotiation// · Customer service// · Accuracy and attention to detail// · Conflict resolution// · Microsoft programs and other data base applications// · Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication// // /Ability to:/ · Demonstrate self-motivation// · Follow instructions// · Provide timely customer service// · Handle multiple priorities under deadlines// To be considered for any DOR position, applicants must complete and submit their application online and upload any required documents. This position would be required to report to a Department of Revenue office assigned by the supervisor. Employees must meet and sustain Department of Revenue telework eligibility requirements and supervisor's approval to participate in the DOR Telework Program. Fulltime telework is not available. *_Training Assignment:_* This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
