    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a full-time on-site Senior Construction Manager to provide the planning, management and execution of activities related to the construction of tunnels and pump stations. This individual’s primary responsibility for assuring quality of the construction and safety.

    Additional responsibilities include:

    + Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.

    + Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization.

    + Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.

    + Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

    + May have budget responsibilities.

    + Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization.

    + Works as a team member to oversee the administration of very large projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction.

    + Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    + BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

    + Experience using trigonometry, geometry & higher mathematics for engineering calculations.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 8 years’ experience in construction contract administration and inspection of large tunnel and pump station projects or equivalent engineering components.

    + Strong oral and written communication skills.

    + Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.

    + Knowledge and experience with Scheduling software (i.e. Microsoft Project and/or P6), Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + 15 years’ experience with tunnel or pump station construction contract administration and inspection.

    + Advance knowledge of mathematics including algebra, trigonometry and geometry.

    + Experience Tunnel and /or Pump Station Construction Manager on projects of at least $500 million.

    + Technical understanding of Tunneling and Mining Construction.

    + Knowledge and experience with commissioning electrical and hydraulic equipment including training client or owner. May include drafting technical written manuals or operating procedures.

    + Knowledge and experience with large pumps for lifting of water or other fluids

    + Knowledge and experience with large diameter shaft construction using secant, liner plate, shotcrete, and rock bolt mythologies.

    + Organizational ability – able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects.

    + Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $113304.49 to $209613.3.
