Job Description:

June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026
Pay rate is $25/hour for undergraduate student (rising junior or senior), grad student rate $30/hour or Phd $35/hour
Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
ABA’s Internship provides students with a paid opportunity to work with one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity provides students with the opportunity to do substantial work in various divisions across ABA, connect with leadership, build a network, and make a difference.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Review industry resource information to identify relevant statistical data and processes related to fraud mitigation and prevention articles.
+ Manage updates to data Excel sheets that support reporting products and form tools
+ Attend industry meetings moderated by the ABA and support agenda development, action items and milestone identification
+ Assist in the development of industry tool kits, guides and infographics
Required Skills
Data research skills for both statistical analysis and narrative topics.
Excel or similar resources for information capture and manipulation.
SQL or python skills a plus.
Writing skills for technical or persuasive articles.
Basic project management skills.
Incident analysis skills to identify root cause and challenges.
Ability to report into ABA headquarters located in Washington, DC, at least two-times per week (relocation assistance or stipend is not included for the intern program). Internship positions are not eligible for healthcare insurance coverage.
Minimum Education Requirements
Rising Junior, Senior ($25.00 an hour), Graduate ($30.00 an hour) or PhD Student ($35 an hour)
Salary Band Range:
$15.00 - $37.50 - $60.00
