About the role
As a **Sr. Data Scientist** , you will make an impact by developing and deploying advanced AI and ML models that drive innovation and improve business outcomes. You will be a valued member of the Technology & Engineering team and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver intelligent solutions.
In this role, you will:
+ Lead the design and implementation of AI/ML models to solve complex business challenges.
+ Integrate Agentic AI and Large Language Models into enterprise systems to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
+ Automate data processing tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and CAPL.
+ Optimize contract lifecycle management processes through Salesforce Conga CLM enhancements.
+ Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Work model
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2–3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Chicago, IL. What you need to have to be considered
+ Proven experience in developing and deploying AI and ML models.
+ Proficiency in Python, Bash, and CAPL for automation and data processing.
+ Hands-on experience with Agentic AI and Large Language Models.
+ Expertise in Salesforce Conga CLM and contract lifecycle optimization.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract insights from large datasets.
These will help you stand out
+ Certified Data Scientist.
+ Salesforce Certified Platform Developer.
+ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
+ Passion for staying up to date with the latest AI/ML advancements.
+ Experience working in hybrid environments and collaborating across global teams.
**Salary and Other Compensation** :
Applications will be accepted until October 30, 2025.
The annual salary for this position is between $115,000.00 – $135,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
