Overview
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Manager, Shipping monitors the daily operations of the shipping department which includes a two or three shift operation ensuring that the department meets its goals of on-time shipping in addition to supporting other departments and cross team functionalities.
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
+ Maintain the functionality of the WCS systems as well as the FedEx and USPS shipping programs assuring distributor orders are picked/packed correctly and departmental standards are met.
+ Plan, organize, control and direct all areas of responsibility for a tow or three shift operation.
+ Responsible for shipping the majority of all DS orders the same day as received, worst case scenario being within 24 hours from receipt with at least a 99.9% outbound accuracy.
+ Initiate/develop resources to improve logistic processes within the DC in terms of productivity, quality and efficiency.
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair any hardware/software issues associated with the WCS system and the interfaces between Herbalife’s other systems to ensure minimal downtime.
+ Ensure adequate stock of all shipping supplies
+ Adherence to the companies Great Place to Work initiatives inclusive of the main areas of communication, responsiveness and consistency.
+ Maintain detailed inventory records of system hardware including all issues and history of repairs.
+ Collaborate on system testing and validations for all Systems across the Distribution Centers. Systems include Oracle, Cirrus, Agile, etc.
+ Monitor all Distribution Center system implementations, upgrades and expansion.
+ Lead all aspects of new Equipment sourcing, start-up and Design Process to ensure new equipment is developed for maximum efficiencies.
+ Preparation of necessary reports – daily, weekly monthly to capture various departmental activities. Following month end, compile all data and complete the Memphis Activity report.
+ Implement company protocols and uphold departmental compliance with established guidelines.
+ Support team members providing leadership and developmental resources
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
+ Knowledge of WCS systems, budgets
+ Supervisory skills
+ Mentoring and teaching skills
+ Computer Office Skills (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Email, Power Point)
+ Prioritize conflicting priorities and meet established goals.
+ Ability to multitask under competing deadlines
+ Excellent organization and analytical skill
+ Results focused ability to clearly define objectives and develop strategies for achievement
+ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
+ Strong team building skills

+ Proficiency with computer applications and systems
Experience:
+ 7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or business
+ 5+ years management experience working in logistics, supply chain management or business
+ Knowledge and experience with Inventory Management systems
+ Experience in working with teams including cross-functional
+ Experience with various shipping equipment such as scanners, photo eye, QC scales, cardboard erectors, conveyors, etc.
+ Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management or business. May consider candidate with an additional 4 years of relevant distribution management experience in lieu of degree.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Knowledge and experience with Oracle 11i inventory Management System
+ Cirrus Systems knowledge
