Description of Work Unit

CSU’s Systems Engineering Programs began in 2008 and offers graduate level degrees including a Master of Engineering (M.E.), Master of Science (M.S.) a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) and Doctorate of Engineering (D. Eng.) which currently has >250 graduate students, and a graduate certificate in Systems Engineering Practice. The Systems Engineering courses (and all degrees) are offered face-to-face and by distance delivery, synchronously and asynchronously and may include lecture, seminar, and other distance education formats. Its culture is to embrace intellectual creativity at all levels, operating under the principles of openness and integrity.

Position Summary

• Seeking a self-motivated and organized contractual employee with background in intellectual property

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Available for15-20 hours/week

Research, write, and work with co-author to integrate his business/economic elements of the contracted book, “Understanding Systems around Inventions and Intellectual Property: People, Processes and Patents” for River Publishers.

Position Minimum Qualifications

engineering background (Mechanical and Biomedical) has taken the non- ENGR 525 Background with Intellectual Property and Inventive Systems

• Demonstrated ability to incorporate multifaceted ideas and listen to ideas from others.

• Demonstrated ability to systematize copious amounts of content to create rules, patterns, and guidelines for analysis and creation of relevant, related content.

• Ability to engage with others respectfully

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-graduate student or contractor in Business
