Job Summary
Reviews, analyzes, modifies, creates, debugs, and tests applications using modern development methodologies and tools. Collaborates with the team and other teams to assist in design and application architecture discussions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical requirements. This posting reflects an opening for an Application Developer II and we are seeking candidates for that position. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role to include an Application Developer III and Application Developer IV based on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Job Duties
+ Responsible for the process, life cycle, and creation of the software to assist users in completing a computer task or program.
+ Implements code and documents all system changes based on assignments and timelines.
+ Follows department coding and user interface guidelines.
+ Provides code review, testing, debugging, technical documentation, general testing instructions, assistance in go-live planning, assistance in go-live moves, and post-live support.
+ Communicates all progress, roadblocks, and issues to the team and management in a timely manner.
+ Collaborates with team members to identify and resolve issues, improve system performance, and ensure code quality.

Position Details
Must-Have Skills:
+ SQL Coding
+ Proficient in writing complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts.
+ Skilled in data manipulation, transformation, and optimization for performance.
+ Experience with query tuning and troubleshooting.
+ Database Administration
+ Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, backups, and recovery.
+ Experience with user access control, performance monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
+ Familiarity with both on-premises and cloud-based database environments.
+ Reporting
+ Ability to design and develop reports using SQL and reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI).
+ Skilled in translating business requirements into actionable data insights.
+ Experience with scheduled reporting, data validation, and visualization best practices.
