    LSU Shreveport is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position ofMaintenance Foremanin theFacility Servicesdepartment. This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance staff and activities to ensure the effective operation, repair, and upkeep of campus buildings and equipment. We are looking for a skilled, dependable leader with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient campus environment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:

    Four years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR

     

    Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant; OR

     

    Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses plus two years of experience in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or as a parks building and grounds attendant.

    Job Duties and Other Information

    Job Duties:

    + Supervise and evaluate maintenance staff

    + Lead and oversee day to day work

    + Document all activities via CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)

    + Ensure all preventative maintenance tasks are completed on time

    + Routinely report to Associate Director and other department leaders the status of repairs special needs and concerns regarding maintenance activities

    + Work with approved vendors and contractors to perform maintenance related tasks

    Work Schedule:Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
