Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board-certified physicians.
This Practical Nurse--Licensed 1-3 position is located in the Medicine Unit and will provide basic nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with the Professional Nurses Practice Act.
Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a current Louisiana Practical Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Initial assessment and ongoing reassessment of patient including but not limited to bio-physical, psycho-social, environmental, selfcare, education and discharge planning factors.
+ Provide direct patient care in accordance with the scope and practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse.
+ Document nursing interventions and patient education including patient response.
+ Monitor changes in Cardiac rhythms and for abnormalities via Telemetry screens, notifying appropriate personnel.
+ Communicate and coordinate patient care with Charge Nurse, oncoming nurse and other disciplines.
+ Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and hospital information to ensure compliance with HIPPA policy and procedures.
+ Maintain safety and security of patients following Infection Control guidelines.
+ Identify potential and actual patient problems in collaboration with Registered Nurse.
+ Maintain Louisiana Practical Nurse licensure annually and CPR certification on or prior to the expiration date.

Work Location: This LPN position is located in the Medicine Unit. Shifts will be determined by the department manager.

Compensation: Below are the Special Entrance Rates (SER) for the LPN 1, 2 or 3 vacancy within the Medicine Unit.
LPN 1 – Starting Salary is $19.48/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
LPN 2 – Starting Salary is $20.84/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
LPN 3 – Starting Salary is $22.30/per hour worked + Shift Diffs.
