Job Summary and Description:
The Student Employee for the Customer Assistance Center (CAC) will provide front-line customer service for the teams at EPRI. This role is ideal for students seeking hands-on experience in a professional office environment. The Student Employee will respond to a variety of basic customer inquiries, assist with web support, and help document requests in our CRM system. The Student Employee will work closely with team members and learn about our products and resources.
Key Responsibilities
+ Respond to customer inquiries via email and telephone, routing technical questions to the appropriate staff.
+ Track and document customer requests in the CRM system.
+ Provide basic website assistance to users.
+ Support team members with routine administrative tasks.
+ Help maintain and update our knowledge base with guidance from senior staff.
+ Assist with data entry and simple reporting tasks.
+ Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
+ Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university.
+ Prior customer service experience is a plus.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) preferred.
Skills and Attributes
+ Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
+ Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
+ Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
+ Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
+ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
_**Please note that this is an onsite part-time position out of our Dallas, Texas office._
The hourly rate range for Student positions are:
+ Undergraduate: $16-29 per hour
+ Masters: $25-31 per hour
+ Ph.D: $27-34 per hour
These ranges are an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The hourly rate may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
As an EPRI Student, you will not participate in EPRI’s Benefit Programs which includes health insurance, retirement benefits, vacation, sick leave (except as set required by law) and holiday pay. However, as a Student employee you are eligible for the benefits of Social Security, State Disability Insurance, and Workers’ Compensation Insurance.
For Student positions which require one to relocate to an EPRI office. Relocation assistance is not provided and the student will be responsible for covering all relocation costs/expenses.
EPRI participates in E-Verify, an online system operated jointly by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration (SSA). EPRI uses the system to check the work status of new hires by comparing information from the employee's I-9 form against SSA and Department of Homeland Security databases.
