Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as  Cybersecurity Analyst . In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

Responsibilities

+ Monitors networks and systems for security issues, suspicious activities, and compliance.

+ Assists in investigating security breaches/incidents and documenting findings.

+ Participates in system analysis, vulnerability identification, and basic compliance testing.

+ Supports log analysis to identify anomalous traffic or potential data leaks.

+ Prepares technical summaries and maintains detailed records.

+ Communicates compliance gaps and remediation steps to stakeholders.

+ Maintains awareness of vulnerabilities and threat intelligence.

+ Assists with audits, data calls, and compliance activities.

+ Contributes to incident response efforts and post-incident reviews.

+ Supports implementation and monitoring of security controls and toolsets.

Qualifications

+ 5+ years of cybersecurity experience expected.

+ Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, Security+, CEH) may substitute for some experience.

+ Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks is an asset.

+ Ability to follow technical instructions and learn new technologies or regulations in a dynamic environment.

+ Ability to work on site up to 5 days per week and the ability to keep or hold a Top-Secret Clearance

Salaries for Cybersecurity Analysts at Planet Technologies range from $90,000 and $140,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
