    Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as  Mid level Data Scientist . In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

    Responsibilities

    + Builds, maintains, and improves dashboards, applications, and automations.

    + Connects to APIs, system-to-system connections, and manual data transfers for ETL.

    + Builds predictive risk models using statistical analysis.

    + Applies AI/ML to extract insights from unstructured documentation.

    + Develops and carries out full-service data calls, including data normalization and visualization.

    + Creates business intelligence analysis and visualizations for management.

    + Improves methodologies and tools for risk assessment.

    + Researches and recommends business data storage/integration solutions.

    + Develops user guides and documentation for BI products.

    + Incorporates data science tools (SQL, R, Python, etc.) into services.

    Qualifications

    + Strong proficiency with Power Platform, SharePoint, and InfoPath required.

    + Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.

    + Experience with common data science toolkits (R, Weka, NumPy, MATLAB, etc.) and BI tools (Power BI, Anaconda, SPSS).

    + Experience connecting to and manipulating data from federal systems preferred.

    + In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used.

    + Ability to work on site 5 days per week

    + Ability to hold and maintain a Top-Secret level clearance

    Salaries for Data Scientist, Mid at Planet Technologies range from $125,000 and $200,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
