    Precipart, located in Farmingdale, NY, Precipart is seeking an Industrial & Process Data Engineer to join our growing team. The Industrial & Process Data Engineer is responsible for collecting, structuring, and analyzing critical data that informs standard costing, time-based process models, and operational decision-making. This role bridges engineering and finance by developing and maintaining accurate time standards, activity-based cost drivers, and process flow maps to optimize throughput and efficiency. The ideal candidate thrives on the production floor, readily engages the minds and hands of front-line team members, is highly analytical, and capable of translating observations into structured insights through time studies, line balance analysis, and digital modeling. Is relentless, resourceful, and resilient in pursuing visibility to the ground truth of the manufacturing environment to inform planning, improvement opportunities, and financial performance.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Conduct structured time studies to establish baseline cycle times, setup times, and labor standards.

    + Collect, structure, and provide input to standard routings, BOMs, machine rates, and operator assignments.

    + Support takt time analysis, bottleneck identification, and throughput mapping across value streams.

    + Lead line balance studies to align staffing and work content to takt and mixed-model schedules.

    + Create and update value stream maps with keen attention to buffers and non-value add time in collaboration with operations, quality, and engineering teams.

    + Simulate cost and capacity impacts of layout, headcount, or process changes.

    + Drive the collection of master data to support ABC models and finance partner standard cost updates in ERP.

    + Develop and present dashboards that visualize labor efficiency, capacity utilization, and cost breakdowns.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally to validate assumptions and refine standards through iterative floor validation.

    + Document processes and control master data changes in compliance with QMS and audit policies.

    + Responsible for conforming with the company’s quality management system requirements, as well as contributing to its overall effectiveness, and the ultimate goals of customer satisfaction, product compliance and ethical practices/behavior.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / EDUCATION

    + Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or operations analysis roles including relevant internships / co-op.

    + Demonstrated ability to lead time studies, layout evaluations, or line balancing initiatives.

    + Proficient with ERP systems (Infor LN of added benefit), Excel, and visual mapping or simulation tools.

    + Experience with costing structures and routing logic in support of manufacturing costing.

    + Excellent data collection and analysis skills

    + Excellent communication and collaboration skills

    + Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and engaging directly with front-line team members.

    Pay Range:$75,000 to $90,000 annual salary
