We are seeking a skilled and motivated Survey Party Chief with at least five years of field experience across a broad range of survey types. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality and safety. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to impactful projects in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and perform all types of land surveys, including but not limited to: construction staking, as-builts, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic, boundary, subdivision, and NCDOT location surveys.

+ Supervise and motivate the survey crew to ensure work is completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.

+ Perform survey computations and assist with data collection.

+ Train and mentor junior survey technicians in the use of equipment, field procedures, and safety protocols.

+ Maintain a high standard of accuracy and productivity in all survey work.

+ Communicate effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients.

+ Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all survey equipment.

+ Provide support in technical field tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.

+ Minimum of 5 years of survey experience.

+ NC Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license preferred.

+ Proficient with GPS, RTK, VRS, and robotic total station equipment.

+ Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a strong plus.

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and maps.

+ Skilled in making accurate field calculations and job planning.

+ Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

+ Physically able to walk rough terrain, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform field work in various weather conditions.

+ Ability to travel as needed, including overnight stays
