About the Role:
Cumberland CountySchools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-LanguagePathologist (SLP) to join our Exceptional Children’s team. The SLP willbe responsible for performing student evaluations and providing therapyservices in accordance with individualized plans of care and physician’sorders. This role plays a vital part in helping students overcome communicationchallenges and succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across grade levels
+ Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
+ Provide direct therapy services and monitor progress toward communication objectives
+ Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with district and state guidelines
+ Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
+ Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
+ Utilize evidence-based practices and assistive technology to enhance service delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in North Carolina
+ Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state or contract
+ Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
+ Current CPR certification (if applicable)
+ TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable)
+ Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
