Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Pulmonary Function Technologist/Coordinator performs pulmonary testing in addition to various administrative duties. This individual is responsible for implementation and coordination of services. The Pulmonary Function Technologist will provide the physicians with clinical, technical and diagnostic support with patients care, comfort and safety as the primary concern. This individual requires the ability to make decisions consistent whit Marshfield Clinic Health System and mandated law.

WORK SHIFT

Friday's; 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm and other days (Mon-Thurs)as needed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._

**Minimum Required:** Associates degree in respiratory care, or equivalent on the job training with respiratory care credentials.

**Preferred/Optional:** None

EXPERIENCE

**Minimum Required:** Three years’ experience as a respiratory care practitioner or pulmonary function technologist.

**Preferred/Optional:** None

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

_The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._

**Minimum Required:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Licensed by the state of Wisconsin in Respiratory Care in addition to one of the following:

+ Registered Respiratory Therapist

+ Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist

+ Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician

+ Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist

**Preferred/Optional:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
