See what it's like to work at GROWMARK: https://youtu.be/CSVMnKCySsY * _PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_* Responsible for the implementation of facility strategy and the overall operational management of GROWMARK U.S. and Canadian Crop Nutrient facility operations. * _SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHP_* Supervises, leads, and develops all GROWMARK Crop Nutrient terminal managers and support staff. Oversees personnel management at Crop Nutrients Division facilities where GROWMARK employees are based. * _ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_* Lends assistance to distribution studies and acquisition analysis work on behalf of GROWMARK. Coordinates the implementation of the comprehensive facility plan with the Crop Nutrient Division management team. Ensures that customers are served professionally and facility operational and administrative work is completed to maximize customer satisfaction and net income of the Crop Nutrient Division. Ensures facility personnel are available for member and customer needs after normal working hours, including weekends, when appropriate. Develops and implements documented administrative procedures at facilities. Responsible for computer system installation and operation. Ensures approval and coding of all facility capital and operating expenditures. Ensures accounting of tenant inventory and invoicing of service fees, in accordance with contractual agreements. Responsible for inventories and for keeping product shrink at or below acceptable levels. Leads development of all warehouse and storage agreements with Crop Nutrient vendors at GROWMARK owned and leased facilities. Negotiates in conjuction with Supply & Merchandising team, coordinates draft contracts in conjuction with GROWMARK legal, and administers existing agreements with facility lessees and lessors. Develops and implements documented operational procedures at facilities. Responsible for product quality, housekeeping, repairs and maintenance projects, and compliance with safety and environmental practices at GROWMARK facilities. Ensures all permits and licenses required for the operation of GROWMARK owned and/or operated facilities are current and in good standing. Coordinates seasonal requirements for space utilization and storage configuration with the suppl team, sales team, tenants, and facility managers. Aids in the coordination and scheduling of all inbound product shipments to facilities to minimize demurrage costs. Maintains professional working relationships with facility landlords and tenants. Oversees the development, implementation, administration and compliance of all storage and lease agreements related to facilities. Analyzes and recommends capital expenditures for GROWMARK Crop Nutrient facilities. Prepares facility operating and capital budgets. Completes AFEs, ASDs, and assists with the preparation of Board correspondence. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_* Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Responsible for encouraging, supporting, and promoting innovative practices, ideas, and technologies within the team. Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_* Normally requires a Bachelor’s degree in agronomy, ag economics, ag business, or other business-related field or equivalent, plus at least 8 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide crop nutrient facility management leadership to the GROWMARK System. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record. Must have the ability to travel independently and overnight when necessary. A valid passport for out-of-the-country travel is required. Must have the ability to work extended hours as needed. Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
