Position Description

The Laboratory for Intelligent Networks and Sustainable Communications ( LINSC ) drives innovation in the design of next-generation mobile wireless systems. Beyond addressing the growing demand for seamless connectivity, our research embraces responsible approaches, tackling challenges such as network power consumption and user exposure to radio waves.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join our research group. The successful candidate will investigate cutting-edge topics in future 6G mobile networks, including, but not limited to:
+ Massive MIMO for 6G, including cell-free networks and near-field communications
+ Non-terrestrial networks
+ Sustainable communication systems, with a focus on energy efficiency and electromagnetic field exposure
Strong expertise in wireless communications and signal processing is essential. In addition, the projects may explore related areas such as information theory, coding, ML/AI, and applied mathematics, depending on the candidate’s interests.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Carry out research in the areas of communications described above
+ Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers.
+ Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
+ Present research outcomes at academic and industry conferences.
+ Mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in related projects.
Required Qualifications
+ Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
+ Proven ability to conduct independent research as well as collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
+ Demonstrated experience in leading and contributing to high-quality scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
+ Excellent command of English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in relevant programming languages, including Python, MATLAB , and C++.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, with specialization in wireless communications and/or signal processing
