QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Arkansas Teaching Certificate

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

JOB GOAL: To aid and support teachers in implementing the instructional program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provide instructional support services in the areas of math and/or literacy under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher.

+ Assist in planning and implementing the learning environment, setting up learning centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.

+ Provide in-person individualized and small group instruction as directed by the classroom teacher.

+ Monitor student work as assigned by the classroom teacher.

+ Praise and reinforce the achievement of students.

+ Report student progress to the classroom teacher.

+ Work with the classroom teacher to assess student progress.

+ Debrief daily regarding student performance and instructional interaction.

+ Maintain records for state/federal reporting, and complete and submit all required tracking information for the Special Education Department.

+ Attend District/School required Professional Development sessions as assigned.

+ Must be able to provide virtual services during school closures only.

+ Perform duties under the direction of the classroom teacher.

+ Must be proficient in technology/educational technology.

+ Maintain excellent work attendance.

+ Maintain confidentiality of student information.

+ Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: $31.25/hour Student Day; $25.00/hour Professional Development

Length: Length: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m ., 6 hours/day (Up to 170 DAYS)
