CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for an Electrical Technician III.

**Pay Rate:** Based on experience
**Work Hours:** M-F 8am-5pm
**Education:** AAS Electrical Engineering Technology, BS Electrical Engineering Technology, BS Electrical Engineering, or similar (equivalent experience considered)
Professional Summary
Hands-on Electrical Technician with expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and supporting automated manufacturing equipment. Skilled in electrical systems design, PLC programming, and control system integration. Proven ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and process disciplines to deliver safe, efficient, and on-time project execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Install, debug, and support new or modified production equipment on the manufacturing floor.
• Supervise and guide internal maintenance and contract trades during equipment installation, conversion, and startup.
• Develop and follow project plans and timelines while ensuring safety, quality, and intellectual property standards.
• Identify safety risks, report incidents, and ensure team compliance with safety requirements.
• Interface with system integrators and machine builders to deliver integrated equipment systems on-time and on-budget.
• Create, update, and maintain installation documentation, drawings, checklists, and equipment specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and modify electrical components or software to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Train internal and contract personnel on installation procedures and equipment operations.
• Support development of industrial control systems for new and existing equipment.
Education:
• AAS Electrical Engineering Technology, BS Electrical Engineering Technology, BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Experience & Skills:
• 3+ years in manufacturing with process and automation equipment.
• Knowledge of 480VAC and below power systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings for troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with tools, instruments, and measurement/alignment devices.
• Strong team collaboration and multitasking abilities.
• Commitment to job site safety and proactive problem solving.
Desired Skills:
• AutoCAD®, AutoCAD Electrical, MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• PLC and PC-based systems: Beckhoff PLC/Motion Control, B&R PLC, Allen-Bradley PLC/Motion Control.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA70, OSHA regulations.
• Manufacturing floor or construction environment experience.
• PLC coding, SCADA/HMI development, PID control theory.
• Electro/mechanical technical understanding and Optical Fiber manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
