Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Data Manager to join its collaborative national Applied Technology team in Doylestown or Philadelphia, PA. This individual will drive data collection, maintenance, analysis and visualization in a way that meets project requirements and provides added value to our project teams and clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop both internal and external data management work and brand recognition, leveraging existing client base, past experience and internal Langan clients to expand and develop a national practice.
Job Responsibilities
+ Partner with Project Managers to identify project data management needs and requirements. Ensure the proper functioning of data management software (EarthSoft EQuIS) ;
+ Define, organize, implement, and enforce correct data collection, management validation, and reporting workflows and policies;
+ Provide proper training to employees to be able to perform data management tasks independently and effectively;
+ Interpret and explain complex data to stakeholders so that opportunities and concerns are understood, and appropriate action can be taken;
+ Remain well-versed of all Langan services for internal coordination, cross-selling and overall project coordination purposes. Market services to internal project teams and clients to develop new work;
+ Integrate with other Langan disciplines – Environmental, EHS, ESG, Validation, IT
+ Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines;
+ Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assists in payment collections;
+ Coach, train, and motivate project staff. Responsible for performance management aspects of staff, including conducting performance review meetings, providing performance feedback and recommendations for improvement and mentoring for professional growth;
+ Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
+ 8+ years experience in environmental data management;
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field;
+ Experience in the following:
+ Relational Databases (SQL)
+ Environmental Field & Laboratory Data (EDDs)
+ Microsoft Excel
+ Microsoft SQL- Reporting Services , SQL Studio Management Studio
+ Electronic Data Capture
+ EarthSoft EQuIS
+ Data Analytics – Power BI or Tableau
+ System Integration
+ Needs Assessment/Project Scoping
+ Willingness and ability to identify new client opportunities and develop business;
+ Entrepreneurship and business development experience to identify and maintain work;
+ Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and clients;
+ Ability to develop and manage project budgets;
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
+ Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities;
+ Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment; and
+ Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver’s license in good standing.
