    This is a full-time position working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position.

     

    **Job Purpose or Objective(s):** As the Quality Coordinator of the Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety (LS), you will monitor the Environment of Care Accreditation Plans and EOC/Life Safety requirements and initiatives to minimize hazards and reduce risk of injury to patients, visitors, and employees for Choctaw Nation Health System including but not limited to hospital, clinic sites, and residential treatment centers. You will report to the Director.

    Primary Tasks:

    1. Monitor safety programs and initiatives in regard to EOC/LS specific to health system staff such as radiation safety, eyewash precautions, falls, SDS sheets, hazardous chemical inventory, etc.

    2. Conduct on-site tracers and environmental tours to check compliance with safety hazards, environment of care, emergency management and life safety issues, reports findings.

    3. Investigate and report EOC and LS events to and monitor resolutions to eliminate future reoccurrences.

    4. Review reports from event reporting system on worker exposure events, patient, staff and/or visitor falls, chemical or radiation exposure, etc.

    5. Conduct Performance Improvement Dashboard data review and submits recommendations to EOC.

    6. Organize the Environment of Care Committee; prepare the agenda and documentation for the EOC Committee Meeting to assure compliance with TJC, CMS, life safety code, etc. and that material is ready for federal review if necessary.

    7. Monitor projects managed by Project Manager Construction Health, including review of federal regulations, identification of gaps in standard operating procedures.

    8. Acts in a consulting role, keeping department managers and Project Manager Construction Health abreast of standard changes.

    9. Perform other duties as may be assigned.

    Required Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field or four years directly related experience

    + Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local Standards governing safety in the workplace, including but not limited to: TJC Elements of Performance, EPA, DOT, NFPA, FDA, NRC and the State Department of Health

    + Efficient time management-able to work independently with minimal supervision

    + Proficient in Microsoft word

    + Able to process significant amount of research/reading and condense to a manageable level for staff training

    + Two (2) years HealthCare related experience in Environment of Care and Life Safety
