Job Description
As a valued Capital Markets colleague, you will assist in increasing the liquidity and stability of the secondary mortgage market by expanding and diversifying the investor base for Fannie Mae securities. You will be a critical member of a team that serves as a strategic conduit between secondary market participants and Fannie Mae leadership, ensuring that business decisions are informed by an awareness of their implications for the performance of our securities. You will cultivate strong relationships with secondary market participants, serving as a business expert and delivering analytical insights to deepen understanding. This role requires a blend of analytical rigor, market intuition, and communication excellence to influence outcomes across the Enterprise and secondary market ecosystem.

The Investor Engagement Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
* Monitor market activity and research to identify emerging trends that may impact Fannie Mae or investors in our securities and communicate their implications.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with secondary mortgage market participants to strengthen market connectivity and feedback loops.
* Design and perform analytical research using mortgage loan and security data to produce valuable market insights for internal and external audiences.
* Collaborate across business units to stay informed of Enterprise initiatives, advocate for investor perspectives, and share relevant market intelligence.
* Shape the content and functionality of the Data Dynamics® platform to enhance its value as a free online analytics tool for market participants.
*THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM*
*Required Experiences:*
* At least 4 years of experience, preferably in finance, banking, consulting, or strategy
* Proficiency in SQL, R, and/or Python for data analysis and process automation
* Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts to different audiences
* Familiarity with and passion for macroeconomic trends and financial markets
* Self-driven, high level of accountability, strong work ethic, and a dedication to excellence
*Desired Experiences:*
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in finance, economics, statistics, or computer science
* Knowledge of fixed income capital markets, particularly securitized products
* Familiarity with primary and secondary mortgage markets
* Experience with statistical modeling, security pricing, and risk analysis for fixed income products
* Experience with Bloomberg, YieldBook, and/or Intex

The hiring range for this role is set forth below. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications. This position is eligible to participate in a Fannie Mae incentive program (subject to the terms of the program).
