    Responsibilities:

    + Builds Productive Relationships: Develops and maintains positive relationships internally and externally through accountability, enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment to patients and colleagues. Promotes cultural awareness and holds peers accountable for healthy interactions.

    + Models Work-Life Balance: Maintains safe work hours, effective time management, and a healthy lifestyle while communicating workplace safety hazards to peers and management.

    + Patient & Family Education: Applies adult (and/or pediatric) learning principles to teach patients, families, students, and new staff. Guides patients through care episodes and transitions with clear, individualized teaching.

    + Patient-Centered Care & Clinical Competence: Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan, applies critical thinking to assess and meet age-specific patient needs, and provides care in accordance with department policies. BSN preferred; 0-2 years of experience.

    + Collaboration & Communication: Establishes and maintains positive, professional relationships with patients, families, care teams, and leadership while navigating a complex, fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities.

    + Physical & Professional Requirements: Maintains mobility, visual/manual dexterity, and physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning patientsLicensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)

    + Registered Nurse (RN) OR Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)

    + Act 34

    *Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
