FlexStaff is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Assisted Living Facility in Staten Island, NY to work with one of our clients, a multi-service home care organization.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

The pace in assisted living facilities is generally slower, as residents are typically stable and require less critical care, making for a less stressful work environment compared to hospitals.

Requirements:

+ New York State LPN License

+ CHHA experience preferred

+ Home care experience is a plus

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

+ Patient Care: Provide basic nursing care, assist with daily living activities, and administer medications.

+ Health Monitoring: Conduct health assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes in residents conditions.

+ Medical Assistance: Perform basic medical procedures (e.g., wound care) under supervision and maintain infection control.

+ Emotional Support: Offer companionship and communicate effectively with residents and families.

+ Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records and participate in care plan development.

+ Collaboration: Work with healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive resident care.

+ Compliance and Safety: Adhere to policies and regulations to ensure a safe environment.

+ Emergency Response: Assist with emergency situations and ensure resident safety.

+ Family Interaction: Communicate updates and provide education to residents' families.

The salary range for this position is $35-$38/hour
