Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager works under the direction of the Director of Strategic Project Management and is responsible for the initiation, planning, execution, control and closure activities for complex projects. The Senior Project Manager performs all functions of project management through execution and transitioning to Operations teams to ensure sustainability of the results. This position is expected to have the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, with nationwide travel.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
•Define and execute project scope, goals and deliverables that support business needs
•Create and maintain all project documentation pertinent to the project, including but not limited to, status reports, work plans, presentations, analysis, facilitation events
•Communicate progress, risks, and escalations appropriately at all levels of the organization, or multiple departments, and businesses
•Assist Director of Strategic Project Management in resource allotment, and recruitment and alignment of project personnel
•Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to complete within budget and timeline expectations
•Provide temporary operational field support as BMET/ISE, Supervisor, or Asset Management
•Assists Director of Strategic Project Management in establishing standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation
•Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
CLIENT SERVICES
•Assist in new business start-up activities including transitioning personnel, inventory, contract oversight, leading to operational status per contract timeline
•Acts as New Business Implementation subject matter expert
•Collaborate and build relationships with all stakeholders - including senior executives, sponsors, business owners, and field operations
•Documents and presents project management results via client facing reports or dashboards
•Prepares frequent reports and progress updates to Operations
•Client communications in accordance with annual satisfaction survey protocol
•Maintain positive relationships with all project stakeholders
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
•Direct management of on-site traveling operational and inventory teams
•Build project teams (directly and indirectly) and actively coordinate team members to maximize productivity and project velocities
•Responsible for employee engagement survey action plan
•Responsible for productivity and staffing that is appropriate to the account(s).
•Provide recognition for employees when programs are implemented with success
Manage disciplinary issues and other employee relations concerns with guidance from Human Resources, Director and Vice President.
•Complete annual employee performance evaluations, competency assessments, training plans, and merit increases on a timely basis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Bachelor’s degree in science, business or related subject preferred, or equivalent
Certified Associate Project Management Certification, or obtain within 12 months of hire
Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years servicing clinical/patient care equipment
