The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Chief of Staff, Head of Legal Solutions and Strategy, the Legal Solutions & Tech Strategy will be a key member of the legal team. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to optimize our legal service delivery, implement transformative technologies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Your work will directly impact the scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness of our entire legal function, enabling our talented team to focus on high-value strategic work.
What you'll bring
+ Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other relevant advanced degree is highly preferred or equivalent experience.
+ Minimum of 10-12+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, or a related field within a large in-house legal department or a leading legal services provider.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale transformation initiatives and driving significant improvements in legal department performance and efficiency.
+ Deep understanding of legal technology solutions (CLM, matter management, e-billing, AI, analytics, etc.) and experience managing their selection, implementation, and optimization.
+ Strong experience in process mapping, re-engineering, and implementing legal operational best practices.
+ Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent financial acumen with experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.
+ Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives and legal professionals.
+ Strong change management skills and the ability to drive adoption of new tools and processes across a large and diverse team.
+ Data-driven mindset with proficiency in legal analytics and reporting.

How you will lead
Strategic Leadership & Transformation:
+ Develop and champion a long-term vision and roadmap for legal operations and technology, aligned with the department's and the company's strategic objectives.
+ Lead large-scale change management initiatives, driving adoption of new processes, technologies, and a data-driven mindset across a large and diverse legal team.
+ Serve as a strategic advisor to legal leadership and other stakeholders on key initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and operational excellence.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the legal department.
Technology & Digital Transformation:
+ Oversee the selection, implementation, integration, and optimization of a comprehensive legal technology ecosystem (e.g., matter management, e-billing, contract lifecycle management (CLM), knowledge management, e-discovery, AI-powered tools, and analytics platforms).
+ Drive the automation of routine legal tasks and workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden.
+ Ensure the legal department leverages data analytics to provide actionable insights, measure performance, manage risk, and inform decision-making.
+ Partner closely with IT, security, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless and secure technology solutions.
Process Optimization & Efficiency:
+ Analyze existing legal processes and workflows, identifying inefficiencies and implementing streamlined, best-practice solutions.
+ Develop and implement standardized playbooks, templates, and self-service tools to empower legal professionals and business partners.
+ Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of legal operations and identify areas for improvement.
Vendor & Budget Management:
+ Develop and manage the legal department's technology and operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for investment.
+ Oversee relationships with legal technology vendors and service providers, including negotiation, performance management, and optimization of services.
+ Implement and manage outside counsel spend management strategies and tools.
Knowledge Management & Collaboration:
+ Champion and implement robust knowledge management strategies and systems to ensure the capture, sharing, and leveraging of legal expertise and precedents.
+ Promote effective collaboration and communication within the legal department and with cross-functional partners.
Team Leadership & Development:
+ Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing legal operations and technology team.
+ Champion professional development and training for legal team members on new technologies and processes.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Bay Area California $205,500 - $278,000
Southern California $198,500 - $269,000
This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits (https://www.intuit.com/careers/benefits/full-time-employees/) ).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
