The Position
The Opportunity
+ Provides engineering leadership to support assigned existing systems, product lines and associated processes within the Roche North American Region (NAM) portfolio.
+ Provides a high level of technical expertise and support to customers, field sales and support teams, as well as key internal Roche stakeholders, consulting on highly complex inquiries and issues involving function, usage and specification of Roche products.
+ Analyzes the most complex and technically challenging problems, to identify root cause and develop/lead the implementation of corresponding action plans that enable customer resolutions.
+ Helps identify opportunities and directly provides on-site coaching and mentoring to cascade/support “Best Practices” and assist in increasing the overall technical competency of our Field and in-house teams.
+ Assists in the development and presentation of advanced level technical curriculum as part of workshops and seminars. Specialized and in-depth comprehensive knowledge and experience in a particular discipline and business area.
+ Duties are varied and complex, often requiring using professional concepts involving research, collaboration and analysis in developing solutions to critical issues and opportunities. Requires the regular use of originality and ingenuity.
+ Work is typically very complex in nature involving broad latitude and a high level of responsibility. Contributes independently or with a team towards an organizational goal, program or objective.
+ Interfaces directly with customers and a broad range of local/Regional (NAM) departments. Typically a higher level professional position. 20% travel required within NAM (US and Canada.) Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
Who You Are
+ Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent education and work experience
+ 6+ years of progressive industry/diagnostics product experience
+ Advanced knowledge in an area of specialty as demonstrated through an advanced degree and/or in-depth technical experience in the support of laboratory clinical chemistry, immunology, information technology, molecular, tissue and/or automation systems
+ Applies engineering principles in a broad range of technical assignments, making independent decisions based on sound reasoning and analysis
+ Strong communication, influence, conflict management and negotiation skills
+ Ability to foster and sustain strong interpersonal relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis, IN is $77,800.00 - $144,600.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
