Be involved in patient care activities which may involve assisting with the needs and comfort of patients to include hygiene, activity, nutrition and treatments; therapeutic interactions with patients, patient safety rounds, vital signs, patient and belonging searches, patient transportation to tests/procedures, and gathering patient and family information.

Schedule

+ Part-time | St. Cloud Hospital | Adult Mental Health Unit

+ 56 hours every two weeks | day & evening rotation | 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

+ 48 hours every two weeks | 8 & 12-hour overnight rotation | 11:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

+ 32 hours every two weeks | day & evening rotation | 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

+ All shifts include a scheduled weekend | Every other or every third weekend | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Holiday rotation

Pay and Benefits

+ Starting pay begins at $18.11 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience

+ Pay range: $17.28 - $26.54 per hour

+ Earn extra pay for working evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.

+ 2 years of college with courses in psychology, sociology, and/or social work preferred.

+ Six months experience in nursing assistant or similar role preferred.

+ Must be able to effectively handle escalating behavior and utilize physical safety holds with aggressive patients.

+ Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training initial and on-going training provided.
