Summary

+ Perform routine treatment procedures as directed.

+ Assists Staff Nurse in complicated treatment procedures.

+ Maintain traction supplies including traction cart every shift.

+ Complete all equipment set up as directed.

+ Report any changes observed in condition or behavior of patient.

+ Communicate any patient complaints of pain to patient's nurse, charge nurse or unit coordinator.

+ Assist in and, as necessary, accompany patient in the admission, transfer and discharge procedures.

+ Provide and/or assists with personal care as necessary (i.e. baths, dressing of patient, personal hygiene, etc.)

+ Assist with patient care, such as positioning patient, lifting and turning patient with proper body mechanics, applying/utilizing special equipment as necessary and ambulating the patient as directed.

+ Under supervision, perform general care activities for patients in isolation.

Schedule

+ 64 hours every 2 weeks

+ Rotating day, evening and night shifts (all shifts)

+ Every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays

Pay and Benefits

+ Starting pay begins at $18.43 per hour and increases with experience

+ Pay range: $18.43-24.44 per hour

Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED.

+ Certified Nursing Assistant, preferred.

+ Previous orderly or nurse aide experience preferred.
