Job Description
Insight Global's client is seeking a highly experienced and licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to direct, manage, and oversee infrastructure and capital improvement projects, including SPLOST and CIP programs. This role supports the County Engineer/Engineering Director in daily operations and cross-departmental engineering tasks. The candidate will serve as a technical lead, stepping into the Engineering Director’s capacity when needed, and will manage consultants, design teams, and construction personnel. Responsibilities include signing and sealing plans and reports, developing specifications for traffic, drainage, and roadway design, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels—from field staff to executive leadership. Key duties include supervising staff, coordinating daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing project budgets, and managing procurement processes. Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and other technical tools is essential. Salary ranges from $75,000-94,000 depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements
• 5 years in civil engineering, general construction, technical project management, and budget administration
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Responsibilities:
• Manage civil engineering and construction projects from planning through completion.
• Administer project budgets and ensure financial compliance.
• Utilize software tools for:
• Data entry and documentation (Word, Excel, PDFs)
• Plan review using Bluebeam
• Project scheduling with Microsoft Project
• Design and mapping using CAD and GIS platforms
• Prepare and review technical documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
