Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Data Entry Specialist for a sporting goods client in Portland, OR. This is a 4-month contract with a hybrid schedule. As a Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the transition of product data within the footwear industry. You’ll be responsible for managing and transferring Bill of Materials (BOM) data from legacy systems (Plasma) to Centric, acting as the subject matter expert for BOM creation in Centric, and developing key training documentation.
Initial Project Scope:
- Manage BOM data entry for carryover models.
- Transition all key BOM data from Plasma to Centric.
- Serve as the key point person and “expert” in BOM creation within Centric.
- Create essential training documentation for BOM creation and other process documentation as needed.
- Communicate all transition activities to the team.
- Identify Centric system glitches or upgrades needed and coordinate with the IT team.
Expected pay: $20-$23 /hr

Skills and Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in data entry, specifically transitioning data between systems.
- Experience in data integration and working with systems that use BOMs and sample requests.
- Proficient in PLM systems to build, support, and maintain digital material libraries.
- Computer proficiency with office software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Key Note, and Illustrator.
- Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks (both independently and through others), while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with advanced ability to communicate needed enhancements and their rationale clearly. - Experience in the footwear industry required; hands-on experience with BOMs is preferred.
