    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a mid-to-senior level Data Analyst with strong experience in data mining, SQL scripting, and data visualization to join the team at one of our financial clients located in Jersey City, NJ. This role is critical for transforming raw data into actionable insights and supporting regulatory and financial reporting initiatives. Candidates must have hands-on experience, not just academic knowledge, and the ability to analyze, aggregate, and interpret complex datasets. Responsibilities will include:

     

    -Mine, clean, and prepare data for analysis and visualization.

     

    -Develop pivot tables and dashboards using Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

     

    -Write and optimize simple and complex SQL queries to extract and analyze data from databases.

     

    -Conduct high-level data analysis for metadata related to data lineage and controls.

     

    -Interview and collaborate with data owners/providers to identify gaps and define remediation steps.

     

    -Aggregate data and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders.

     

    -Document findings and support project management activities.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst

     

    -Advanced SQL scripting and query development

     

    -Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization

     

    -Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, reporting)

     

    -Financial industry background
