Job Description
PM Lead Expectations
• Drive Project Delivery: Ensure Innovation Project Manager team is delivering roadmaps, project status updates, and the resolution of blockers. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Facilitate Communication and Release Management: Serve as liaison between leadership and IPM team to communicate process/policy changes to team. Ensure adoption across the team.
• Champion Continuous Improvement: Regularly review processes/policies identifying opportunities for service and operational enhancements.
• Resource Capacity Planning: Track IPM bandwidth, proactively address capacity constraints and allocate projects based on business priorities.
• Run weekly IPM team meetings: Lead weekly IPM meetings, foster open communication, track action items, and support team morale.
• Support Cross-Functional Collaboration: Check in regularly with Scrum Team Product owners to ensure smooth operations, resolve cross-team issues and maintain alignment on standard operating procedures.
• Preferred: Good understanding of software development processes and lifecycle.
Nice to have: Good familiarity with Generative AI concepts and applications.
• Highly self-motivated
• Comfortable working with highly skilled and experienced software development engineers
• Understand our Operating Model and its deliverables/artifacts
• Understand project details, including but not limited to:
• Who is on the project team
• What problem is the project trying to solve
• What is the Total Addressable Market
• Which, if any, Strategic Priorities does the project align to and what is its priority
• What is the (expected) Return on Investment and how is it calculated
• Where does the project currently stand in the Operating model and what is the next set of deliverables
• Attend all regular project meetings including SCRUM daily standups. Participate in end-of-sprint testing
• Drive projects using SAFe Framework and Agile Methodologies
• Help the project teams / innovators understand the operating model and guide them through it (explain what is needed, why, and help them complete the artifacts
• Keep all Operating Model artifacts up to date
• Must be able to provide clear project updates in regular one-on-one meetings with Program leadership (the PM to ensure meetings are scheduled)
• Complete any/all weekly project updates online (weekly)
• Be prepared to provide clear and thorough updates to management on a quarterly basis using standard templates
• Keep meeting notes and distribute them to the attendees (along with recording info if applicable). Add notes to Jira.
• Move from coordinating to doing; get the project through the different Chevron within the SLA objectives.
