Job Description
Lead network deployments, upgrades, and incident response.
Configure/manage Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, WLCs, and wireless endpoints.
Design/manage VPNs, QoS, ACLs, and monitoring tools (SolarWinds, NetFlow, SNMP).
Serve as Level 4 escalation for complex issues and performance tuning.
Enforce CJIS/NIST-aligned network security controls.
Manage firewall rules, NAC (Cisco ISE), and endpoint access policies.
Support cybersecurity in incident detection, forensics, and mitigation.
Provide documentation for audits and compliance reviews.

Skills and Requirements
10+ years in enterprise network security/engineering.
Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto environments:
ASA, Firepower/FTD, Catalyst, Nexus, ISR/ASR
ISE, AnyConnect, VPNs; OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
Wireless: WLCs, Aironet, Meraki
Strong grasp of public safety network needs and application integration.
Proven experience in team training and technical documentation. a. Prior experience working in law enforcement, government, or public safety IT environments.
b. Familiarity with CJIS, NIST, FedRAMP, or state compliance frameworks.
ii. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) – Security Preferred
iii. Cisco Certified Specialist – Security or Wireless – Bonus
iv. CISSP, Fortinet NSE, Aruba, or other relevant credentials – Bonus
