Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a senior Network Engineer to oversee the networking operations for one of our largest technology clients in San Francisco. In this role, you will be largely responsible for the upkeep of any issues that may arise, either physical or from a configuration standpoint, to ensure a healthy network environment for the workplace. This is a collaborative position that requires strategic thinking and strong communication with many different internal teams and various vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify and address physical and configuration-related network issues to maintain optimal performance and ensure a stable and secure network environment.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate firmware and hardware upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and alignment with organizational standards.

• Partner with the Visual Engineering team to provide technical expertise and support for network-related components, contributing to seamless integration and system reliability.

Deliver advanced Level 3 support for end users, troubleshooting complex network problems and providing timely resolutions to maintain business continuity.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in network engineering, with a strong background in enterprise-scale environments.

• Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switches, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting.

• Working knowledge of Cisco 8000 Series routers, with hands-on experience in routing protocols and WAN optimization

• Expertise in Cisco security solutions, specifically Cisco Meraki MX appliances and Cisco Firepower Firewalls, including policy configuration and threat management.

Demonstrated experience in change management and operational workflows within the Cisco Meraki Dashboard, ensuring compliance, collaboration, and minimal service disruption during network changes.
