Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager provides high-level oversight and leadership for multiple electrical projects, focusing on coaching and developing Project Managers (PMs). This role is responsible for project execution, financial management, labor tracking, and reporting progress to executive leadership.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and mentor 2+ Project Managers.

- Guide project execution, labor tracking, and financial controls.

- Lead by example in safety, integrity, and customer relations.

- Oversee multiple electrical projects from start to finish.

- Ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

- Develop and adjust work sequences.

- Make decisions on equipment, materials, and subcontractors.

- Track labor productivity and analyze variances.

- Monitor OCTS controls (Operational, Cost, Time, Safety).

- Report progress, cost-to-complete, and estimates to management.

- Present and explain financials to executives.

- Apply electrical systems knowledge (not hands-on).

- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

- Ensure safety and company standards compliance.

- Build relationships with clients, contractors, and teams.

- Clearly explain project status and solutions.

- Represent company in meetings.

- Prepare and deliver PMO reports.

- Use Procore, Navisworks, and AutoCAD for documentation.

Skills and Requirements

- 8–10 years of electrical project management experience, with at least 2–4 years in a senior PM role.

- Proven experience coaching and leading multiple PMs.

- Strong knowledge of commercial, data center, and medical electrical projects.

- Proficiency in Procore, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.

- Demonstrated ability to track labor, manage schedules, and report financials.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills.

- Ability to explain technical and financial aspects to both customers and executives.

- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction - Management, or related field preferred.
