    Job Description

    The IT Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily performance, reliability, and strategic development of the organization’s IT infrastructure and services. This role is remote but candidate must live near Agusta, GA and be okay with 10% onsite. This role blends technical expertise with operational leadership, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals. The manager coordinates audits, maintenance schedules, vendor relationships, and service delivery while driving automation, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.________________________________________

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and enforce a recurring schedule of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual IT checks, audits, and maintenance tasks.

    • Maintain detailed logs and documentation to support audit readiness and operational transparency.

    • Create and maintain IT policies, SOPs, and technical documentation aligned with industry standards and internal controls.

    • Collaborate with IT team members and external managed services provider to uphold compliance with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and internal governance.

    • Maintain asset inventories, configuration records, and change management logs.

    • Oversee incident response and continuity processes, including triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking.

    • Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks using tools like PowerShell, Azure Automation, or third-party platforms.

    • Administer and support Microsoft Azure and local Active Directory, including hybrid identity configurations and access controls.

    • Administer and support Amazon Web Services (AWS).

    • Administer and support Linux servers and workstations.

     

    Compensation: $40/hr to $43/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

    • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, or systems administration.

    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, Linux, and AWS administration.

    • Experience managing recurring audits, maintenance schedules, and operational checklists.

    • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent certification.

    • Experience with hybrid identity environments (Azure AD + on-prem AD).

    • Experience in working in a Gov Cloud environment

    • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.

    • Experience with cybersecurity compliance and audit preparation.

    • PowerShell scripting or automation experience.

    • Working in Jira Service Management and Confluence or other ITSM software.
