    Job Description

    Insight Global is seeking a virtualization administrator to support a large government customer. This person will be responsible for:

     

    • Install, configure, and maintain multiple VMware vSphere environments (ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, vSphere Client).

    • Manage datastores (VMFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel); implement and manage software-defined storage solutions like VMware vSAN.

    • Install, configure, and administer server operating systems, typically Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP) and Linux distributions.

    • Apply OS-level patches and security updates; ensure servers adhere to security baselines and compliance requirements.

    • Diagnose and resolve issues related to server performance, operating system failures, network connectivity, and application interaction within the VM.

    • Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., PowerShell/PowerCLI for Windows/VMware, Bash/Python for Linux) to automate routine server and VM management tasks.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    Active Secret Clearance

    IAT II

    5+ Years of Experience with Vmware maintenance, installation and configuration

     

    3+ Years of experience as an administrator of a Windows

     

    2+ Years of Experience with Linux administration

     

    Strong Experience with developing and utilizing scripting for server maintenance and VM management
