Schedule:** **Full Time /** **Shift:** **Days (** **36hrs - Friday/Saturday / Sunday - 7a - 7:30p)

+ AdventHealth Apopka is a seven-story, 120-bed hospital offering an extensive range of services including expanded surgical services, advanced surgical suites and a catheterization lab
+ The hospital also features a 30,000-square-foot emergency department with pediatric-friendly beds, imaging services, a full-service cafeteria, chapel, gift shop and on-site fire station
+ The hospital opened in December 2017, replacing the 50-bed hospital that AdventHealth had operated in downtown Apopka for more than four decades
The role you'll contribute:
Under general supervision, is responsible for managing the daily operations in the CT area to ensure smooth and efficient flow including maintenance of supplies within designated budget. Performs the imaging of both neuro and body scans following the facilities parameters, building/performance of complicated 3D and CTA studies and performs QA audits. Utilizes the hospital performance improvement process in the goals of Imaging Services. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with all referring physicians, hospital, and commercial agencies. Meets with customers and partners to ensure service levels are maintained (rounding). Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

+ Performs all exams using established protocols. Uses facility policy for proper identification of patient prior to performing exam. Educates patient concerning exam. Properly screens patients for any contrast allergies. Performs complicated 3D and CTA studies
+ Completes all exams in a timely manner, keeps workflow moving, and minimizes empty table time. Follows through after completing exam with communication, transportation and discharge of OPs. Monitors daily time and attendance. Orders supply
+ Performs all types of imaging procedures and operates all equipment safely and properly including scanners, injectors, monitors, and medical equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting protocols as necessary. Serves as a clinical instructor
+ Properly screens patients of childbearing age and operates all imaging equipment in a safe manner minimizing radiation exposure to patients, families, and co-workers. Practices infection control standards and utilizes approved PPE and disinfectant agents. Maintains properly stocked, organized and clean room. Performs QA on CT scanners. Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed** **:
+ **Current valid State of Florida license as a General Radiographer**
+ Associate's degree or technical degree in a related field, or combination of High School degree and related experience
+ Two years of CT experience
+ Current ARRT R
+ Current ARRT CT
+ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred:
+ General computer skills (Imaging OC system, Digivault, Patriot)
+ Basic IV competency
+ General physics and anatomy
+ AS, AA and/or BS in a healthcare-related discipline
+ Minimum of one year of CT experience at AdventHealth
+ Prior CT experience on GE CT scanners
+ CT experience
+ PACS experience specific to AGFA
