Key Responsibilities
• Assist in setting up and operating CNC and/or manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to produce accurate parts.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work area.
• Monitor machine operations and report any issues to senior machinists or supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and quality.
• Learn and apply shop safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a machining, manufacturing, or technical program preferred.
• Basic knowledge of machining principles, mechanical aptitude, and use of hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
