We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long\-Range Assault Aircraft \(FLRAA\) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift \(FVL\) modernization effort\. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High\-Speed Vertical Take\-Off and Landing \(HSVTOL\) program, a next generation stop\-fold aircraft\.
These positions are on site onsite at Bell’s headquarters in Fort Worth, TX\. **Supplier Quality Assurance Team, FAI**
This team drives quality assurance and continuous improvement by collaborating cross\-functionally to resolve issues, validate processes, and enhance supplier performance\.This team performs the assessment and enforcement of supplier compliance with Bell’s First Article Inspection \(FAI\) standards, including AS9102 and AS9100\.
Through analysis and strategic oversight, this team ensures alignment with Bell, regulatory, and customer requirements, strengthening supply chain integrity and product quality\.
This team is responsible for ensuring the foundational first step of the comprehensive quality control process that verifies that the product consistently meets Bell Aircraft product safety standards against design specs needed to keep Aircraft and Aircraft users safe\.
What you’ll be doing as a Supplier Quality Compliance Specialist, FAI \(multiple openings\)
* FAI Compliance Reviews: Independently assess supplier\-submitted FAI documentation to verify thorough planning, accurate execution, and full compliance with AS9102 and AS9100 standards\. Provide technical interpretation and feedback to suppliers to drive quality excellence\.
* Drive Quality Assurance at Suppliers: Conduct in\-depth reviews of supplier first article and quality documentation to proactively identify risks and prevent downstream escapes\. Collaborate to resolve identified non\-compliances by applying structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies\. Validate effectiveness of corrective actions to ensure sustainable improvements\.
* Cross\-Functional Engagements: Coordinate supplier\-facing activities including technical reviews, corrective action meetings, audits, and process improvement initiatives\. Represent the organization in cross\-functional forums and supplier visits to ensure alignment and accountability\.
* Monitor and Analyze Supplier First Article Performance: Maintain comprehensive records of supplier FAI performance metrics\. Analyze trends to identify systemic issues and recommend targeted improvement strategies across the supply base\.
* Provide Technical Guidance and Training: Serve as a subject matter expert on FAI requirements\. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to clarify expectations, provide training, and support continuous improvement efforts\.
* Support Broader Supplier Quality Initiatives: Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers and site leads to support containment, corrective actions, and strategic quality initiatives as needed\.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role** **:
* Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities\.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams\.
* Certification in quality management \(e\.g\., CQM, CQE, CQA\) is desirable but not required\.
* Familiarity with quality management systems \(e\.g\., ISO 9001, AS9100\) and tools such as ERP or PLM software \(e\.g\., SAP, PEO, Enovia, 3DX\) is a plus\.
* Proficiency in using measurement tools and equipment is a plus\.
What you need to be successful:
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred\.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or aerospace manufacturing\.
* Strong knowledge of AS9102 and AS9100 standards, First Article Inspection processes, and aerospace quality requirements\.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including simple to highly complex assemblies utilizing 2D, CAD models, and model\-based definition is required\.
* Knowledge of GD&T \(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing\) is required\. **Note: Bell Textron relocation assistance is Not Available for these roles\.**
