    Do you enjoy cooking, and value being part of a team? Does interacting with children bring you joy? If so, come join our team as a Cook/Bus Monitor for our Long Beach site. This position helps us in a variety of capacities by using your skills to follow a premade menu and recipes to cook food for our pre-k children. You will be cooking, preparing separate meals for allergy sensitive children, keeping supplies stocked, doing some grocery shopping, maintaining equipment and documentation. Additionally, you will assist the Bus Driver with Monitor duties that include riding the bus, assisting children with buckling/un-buckling, communicating with parents, signing children in/out using our agency software, and assisting classroom staff with moving the kids between the bus and the classroom. Other duties may also be assigned. Scheduled for 30 hours per week, this position is benefitted and pays $20.00 dollars per hour. The general schedule is Monday- Friday daytime hours, during regular school year months.

     

    The starting wage and maximum budgeted wage for this position is $20.00-28.00 per hour, with wage for this position starting at the bottom of this scale.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

     

    Experience: Six months experience or education in food preparation/handling, batch cooking, and/or catering experience desired. Experience with Nutrition Care Plans and/or allergy sensitivities highly desired.

     

    *Bi-lingual highly desired.

    Ability to:

    Work cooperatively with staff members, families and children from varying backgrounds.

     

    Maintain confidentiality of records and information

     

    Follow proper food preparation and handling guidelines

     

    Follow a premade menu

    Certifications and Other Requirements:

    Valid Washington State Food Handlers Card - Must be obtained within 30 days of hire

     

    Valid First Aid and CPR card - EOCF will provide training if needed.

     

    Valid Driver's License

     

    Reliable transportation

     

    Acceptable driving abstract

     

    Interviews to begin as soon a qualified pool of applicants is received
