The Maintenance Technician r esponsibilities involve preventative maintenance for the building, grounds, and equipment for the main facility, 6 residential hospital units, school/gym facility, and camp buildings which are located on an 80-acre campus.
Other primary responsibilities are:
+ Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and all other systems at an apprentice level.
+ Complete preventative maintenance on all vehicles including buses and golf carts.
+ Assist in the construction or renovation of buildings.
+ Assists the Construction Maintenance Administrator in the maintenance and upkeep of the generators.
+ Maintains shop area by keeping area free from debris and ensuring work station is organized.
+ Assist in the safety inspection of tools and equipment used for day to day tasks.
Requirements:
+ 2 years of experience in skilled building trade or maintenance work involving the construction, maintenance, alteration and/or repair of buildings, grounds, and utilities.
+ Must have a general knowledge base on the use of power tools, tractors, lawn equipment, fixtures, materials.
+ Must be able to have prolonged periods of standing and walking.
+ Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds.
+ Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
+ Must have a valid drivers license.
+ Provide 2 professional work related references.
+ Provide your immunization record.
+ Pass drug screening.
Basic knowledge of b uilding trades or maintenance involving the construction, institutional HVAC systems or refrigeration systems is preferred.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position will be required to adjust work hours to accommodate any hospital emergencies. This position will be required to take call according to the supervisor's assignment schedule.
