Buyer– Home & Consumables / Automotive
Reports To: Divisional Merchandise Manager
Overview
Responsible for managing and optimizing assigned product categories by developing strategies, analyzing market trends, and driving sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
+ Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify category growth opportunities.
+ Develop and implement pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies.
+ Manage product lifecycle from introduction through discontinuation.
+ Negotiate supplier terms to maximize profitability and strengthen partnerships.
+ Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other teams to execute category plans.
+ Monitor category performance through data and reporting tools.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience preferred
+ Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
+ Strategic mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Work Environment
Office-based with occasional store and supplier visits; typical office physical and environmental conditions.
